Andrea Childers who is buried in Section 2, was a victim of The Green River Killer.  He killed at least 49 women in the Seattle-Tacoma, Washington area from the 1980's to the late 1990's.  Andrea was killed by Gary Leon Ridgeway (the Green River Killer) around April 14, 1983.  She was 19 years old.  Her body was not found until October 11, 1989 and was identified at that time.  She was buried on her family's reserve on November 16, 1989.  Gary Ridgeway was sentenced to 49 life sentences, without the possibility of parole.  He made a plea agreement to spare being put to death, in exchange for identifying burial places he had used.  Ridgeway confessed to killing 71 women, but that has not been confirmed.
